Ikaika Guess What! Our School is partnering with our neighbor school Hau'ula Honus for our first EVER Aloha Harvest! 

 Whats Aloha Harvest? 

Aloha Harvest is an Ohana Food Distribution! You Sign up to receive an ‘Ohana pack, families reserve their box and on the day of you Distribution just checkin at the site and leave with a Ohana box filled with produce, eggs, milk, bread and a meat!

The Hero Squad Program is BACK!

Join our SQUAD!

"Heroes like Sam never take on cancer alone. Heroes need you, educators, parents, and students in their squad to live healthier lives. Every Hero needs a Squad. Together, we change cancer."

We will start collecting coins November 16- November 20! So keep a look out for our Squad!

UNITY DAY IS COMING UP!!

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 21, 2020

Wear ORANGE on Unity Day  to show your support that all students deserve to be Safe in School, Online and in the Communitty! Don't forget to post your photos and use the hashtags #kaaawaelementary #UnityDay2020 and #HIPublicEd.

With the continuation of Distance Learning for QTR 2, we will also be having our 2nd Ka`a`awa 2020 Leadership Challenge! Our Weekly challenges will start in November! So be on the look out for our flyer!

SHOWCASE OF THE MONTH

This summer 6th grader, Thia Ford, worked with the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation to create virtual field trips to two local farms!

 She did an amazing job as the "Ambassador of Agriculture" showcasing the uniqueness of both Kahuku Farms and Kualoa Ranch. The virtual field trips will be used by students throughout the state. Nice job Thia!

REMINDERS

GRAB-N-GO MEALS 

  • Lunch start exactly at 11:15 to 11:45

  • ALL children under the age 18

  • You are no longer required to reserve a meal

  • We recommend you to arrive at 11:15, as it is a first come first serve bases.

  • Lunch is untill 11:45 or until they run out.

  • Breakfast is also given at the same time for the next day

  • ALL MEALS ARE FREE!

DRIVE THRU PACKET PICK UP

Just a reminder that every 2 weeks there will be a packet pick up for student school work from

 

9:00am to 11:00am

PLEASE remember to stay in your cars at all time and wear a mask ask you pull forward.

 

If can not make packet pick up times please let your child(ren) teacher know by email or calling our school office at 305-6650.

FEDERAL SURVEY CARDS

Aloha Parents,

Please remember to fill out Federal Survey Cards that went home on Friday October 16, 2020 and return them to our school office by October 30th.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE

Aloha Parents,

PLEASE remember to schedule your PTC ​with your chile/rens Teachers, it may seem to look like virtually meeting is easier, however it is equally the same as timing is consistant. Confrence start October 26 and run until October 30. Please plan ahead and login on time.

As we end this months newsletter, we share some sad news! But PLEASE help us, as we give a big Aloha &A Hui Hou to our very own Coach T! Coach T has been with our school for many years and as many know, she brings the PARTY! She has helped our students shift there mindset in every subject, while keeping them on there toes and active! Aloha & A Hui Hou Coach T! We wish you all the best on your new Journey! 

(As alot of our students will want to share there Aloha and say Goodbye, at this moment please do virtually, if you would like us to send Coach T any pictures or videos or so please email them to pcnc@kaaawaschool.k12.hi.us and we will pass them on to Coach T! Mahalo)
